Yesterday, in just a few minutes, I sewed together some Katie Jump Rope fabric scraps to make this very simple banner.I really made it for the mirror, but as I am too short to drape it over it, I settled for the mantle for now.
I had the scraps from this pillow. I happened upon some blogs showcasing rwb this week so I thought I'd link up to this one.
While clicking around I found this dessert pizza, and I think I will make it for a party on Saturday. Easy, looks good and has to be yummy :) And what about this bark? Yum x100, right?!

what last week held-
Art camp for the girls. Yesterday was the final day and art show. This camp is OVER THE TOP, great. I think you can tell from the pics (taken with my phone).
And, after much anticipation, I received my pillow from the Flickr Pillow Swap I participated in. I received that patchwork one shown in the front. It is amazing. It came from Megan, who makes custom totes and accessories. Check her out ::HERE::. Thank you Megan! Pin It

goodies
from Goodwill. I hit the vintage sheet jackpot. The top one is a matching pillowcase to the sheet in the center of the stack. Is $3 high to pay for an entire sheet? I feel this particular GW is a bit pricey. I could not pass these up though and the milk glass was just icing on the cake...
Ok, here is laugh at my expense. The girl checking me out asked if I got the senior discount. Wha?! I did not think I was having that bad of day. Hee ha. I am about a decade short of the Golden Buckeye card. Pin It

vacation poster
The week before left for Ocean Isle Beach, NC, me and my niece Kacie saw this poster in the J. Crew outlet store. We both loved it and I said we could/should make one with vacation photos. I snapped this pic with my phone so I could remember how it was laid out.
Fast forward 2+ weeks and I had pictures to play with. I sat down to PhotoShop CS2 and made a 16x20 template to house the photos and came up with this:I used the Pioneer Woman actions on all of these. Mostly slight lighten and the 70's action (my all time fav and it gives these photos their vintage feel and blueish hue). I have a big heavy black frame but I think it would look great in a white frame too.
I saved the template beforehand in case any of you would want to make something like this as well. You can download the template ::HERE::. It is composed of 9 clipping masks so each photo can be manipulated to fit perfectly.
This is what the template looks like.
So, what do you think?! If you use the template, please link me up to the finished product!

family pictures
So the last time this group assembled for this, Shelby was about 5 weeks old. Can I list the great things about this? I did not take the pictures, my stepbrother Jay did. With a tripod and remote!
We got a version on the porch of our awesome beach house in Ocean Isle, NC.Next, we have version B with the sand dunes.
And finally C with the ocean in the background.
Totally worth the time and effort. I love them and I know my parents treasure having everyone together and well documented.
As the t-shirts in the beach shops say: Life is Good.

checking in
Only to say I am checking OUT. This fam has plans!
As for the one week absence, each day I check in here and find not enough to say to actually type. Couple that with no recent pics and you've got a one week blog hiatus.
I'll be back soon :)

for the 2010 album
While trying to quickly move some digital stuff onto a flash drive for vacation, I threw these two together. Both were premade pages that I added very little to beyond the photos.
